We get a clear view of a faithful servant, Moses, who spoke mouth to mouth and face to face - intimately - with God. Numbers 12:8 has played like a song on my heart for some time now:
"With him [Moses] will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold [he, Moses, sees God]..." Numbers 12:8
As you may know, I love studying and learning from the Jewish culture, and I absolutely treasure the insight and depth it has added to my life as a student of the scripture, a believer of Yeshua HaMashiach, and a friend of God.
Here's what I want to share with you from what I've been studying and hearing from God...
It's 2020!! By Jewish calendar, we are in the year 5780, and we have been since September 2019.
To gain insight about the year, Jewish take the last two numbers which in this case is 80 representing the Hebrew letter "pey." Pey is the seventeenth letter of the Hebrew alphabet, and it has a numerical value of 80. Pey signifies the "mouth" because the letter's appearance is said to resemble a "mouth." It is also said to represent "strength."
As Moses, may this be the timing that we experience "mouth to mouth" - "pe el pe" encounters with God. We will experience so much of God's fullness because of our intimacy. It will be these encounters and experiences with God that bring us much strength for the season. The similitude of the Lord shall we behold. In other words, we see God. This is a promise of God that I am holding near for the season.
Another is Exodus 20:20 because it is the fear of the Lord upon us and our households that will keep us from sin. This is a promise that I am believing God for our entire households.
"And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not." Exodus 20:20
It's 2020!! Happy New Year to you, and I pray that you receive all that the time and season has to offer to you from God.
