Prophetic Dream: The Ninth Hour

In February 2016, I had a dream that I knew to be quite prophetic when I received it.

In the dream, I was called out to share a message with the Church. I had no idea what the message was going to be, but when I stood, the message immediately came from the Lord: "The Ninth Hour Has Come. The Ninth Hour is Upon Us."

It was a decree. In the dream, I began to declare it aloud and have the people declare it with me.

Then, my spiritual Mother said, "2 Chronicles 1:5," - a scripture that I was not familiar with at the time.

2 Chronicles 1:5 says, "Moreover the brasen altar, that Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the LORD: and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it."

The brasen altar represents a prophetic sign of God's great plan. As the people assembled at the altar, they would inquire of God, seeking Him for His direction, His guidance, and His response. There is a divine plan of God that is unfolding in the earth that has been spiritually developing for longer than we know. God is responding.

The other scripture that was given in the dream that many in the Church are very familiar with was 2 Chronicles 7:14. This verse was written out on the page of a large book (that appeared to be a very large Bible). As I began to read the verse from the pages, the words started to fade away and reappear, repeatedly, making it nearly impossible to read. Because I knew the verse by heart, I began to quote it aloud in the people's hearing instead of reading it.

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land (2 Chronicles 7:14)."

This part of the dream was a reminder of how critical it is to have the word of the Lord written in our hearts. It's so important to be intentional in our search for God and His truth because when the the "words on the page" seem to fade around you because of life's trials and tests and judgments in the earth, you will have to dig deep and hold fast and declare the Truth you know.

Throughout scripture, there is a theme of divine finality or completeness as a representation of the ninth hour. It was from the sixth to the ninth hour that darkness covered the earth. Jesus, shortly after, yields up His spirit (Mt. 27:45-50).

The ninth hour can represent judgment: after the nine generations between Adam and Noah, the final judgment of the flood came (Gen. 5).

The ninth hour represents a time of prayer (Acts 3:1; Acts 10:30), a time of angelic visitation and vision (Acts 10:3), a time of fire (1 Kings 18:36-39), a time of Gentile conversion and return (Acts 3:1-10), and much more.

In scripture, we see recorded instances of the ninth hour where God responds in a divine way. Even now, I sense strongly that GOD IS RESPONDING.

The prophetic declaration in my dream was that "The Ninth Hour Has Come. The Ninth Hour is Upon Us."

God's eyes are on the whole earth. Particularly, we must be aware that God's gaze is upon His bride first. It starts with us - decisions are being made in the House first (1 Pet. 4:17).

"Come back, come back, O Shulammite [lover]; Come back, come back, that we may gaze at you! (Song 6:13)"

This global "selah moment," as I've heard some call it, is an invitation to pause and come back to God, your love, and to come back to what matters most to Him, to remain close to the Bridegroom, to inquire of Him, to seek Him for guidance, and to wait for His response. Only when He responds do we receive the revelation we need that we may respond in His shadow to the unknowns, to the crises, to the injustices, to the monstrosities, and grievances that are going on around us.

Perhaps you have been asking the Lord what your contribution is during this time when so much is going on. What can I do? How can I make a difference?

The Spirit of God has made a decree and will respond to you as you lean in close during this time.
